Prosthetic Penises

Penile implants are devices placed inside the penis to allow men with severe erectile dysfunction (ED) to achieve a rigid erection. There are two types of penile implants: inflatable and non-inflatable. Initial satisfaction rates exceed 90% for both men and their partners. Penile implant surgery will not affect these other aspects of sexual function. Specific characteristics of importance are penile length and stretchability, previous surgical scars, and any penile fibrosis or scarring which may complicate the implant surgery.
